Vern Egli
Director Of Infrastructure Deployment
Vern works on the design and deployment of new FM Booster technology for synchronized SFN boosters, know as MaxxCasting™, which has deployed in numerous top 100 markets across the US. He has also built and deployed ZoneCasting™ test sites for FCC certification.
He has more than 30 years of experience in the IT, satellite, and broadcast radio fields, and has deployed many multi-platform IT and satellite sites around the world and across the U.S. Vern has also worked with many commercial satellite solutions on most of the major platforms, or overseen the builds, of over 500 FM broadcast facilities in the US and abroad.

Bert has been active in broadcast industry organizations including the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), the National Radio Systems Committee (NRSC), North American Broadcasters Association (NABA), and the Ad Hoc Forum on AM Directional Antenna Performance Verification and has written several articles for the industry trade press.
Paul Littleton
Chief Technology Officer
Paul joined GBS in 2016 after a five-year run at National Public Radio, where he was a technical research associate. During his time at NPR Labs, he was involved in radio signal coverage prediction and participated in the early development of MaxxCasting™ and ZoneCasting™.
He specializes in Wireless Communication Systems; signal propagation, In-building Wireless Systems, RF design and optimization, and primarily focuses on:
Computing coverage maps and performing interference analysis using ATDI ICS Telecom simulation software.
Performing station signal measurements using AUDEMAT-MC5 and NOMAD drive test units.
Improving prediction model results using drive test data to optimize signal coverage accuracy.
Designing boosters for single frequency networks to fill in coverage in areas of low signal levels within the FCC-protected contours of stations in the FM band.
Determining the time delay for nodes within the FM Single Frequency Networks for seamless transition areas.
Comparing census analysis results of stations with and without the boosters to quantify the improvement.
Analyzing Federal Communications Commission FM database to identify potential station candidates for single frequency network to boost their signal level.
Paul is a University of Maryland graduate, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering and a Master's degree in Telecommunications Management.
